Brand Identity - Website Design - Collateral Design - Content Creation - Strategic Storytelling

Sophie James is a family run paint company based on the edge Colchester, Essex. They faced the challenge of trying to expand their market reach and the ever need to increase sales without losing their family brand identity. The client had already tried to establish themselves by having a logo, a small product range and an online Etsy style shop but there was a need to strategically refresh the brand to allow them to compete in the ever growing paint market and become a supplier of luxury paints. 

During this project I helped the client:

  • Develop a brand concept, utilising their personality through a lion symbol, emphasising family, tactile experience, regality, and British heritage. 

  • Collaborate to design a new logo and brand guidelines, to be used consistently across all channels, from product packaging to social media. 

  • Design the Sophie James website, featuring a clear message, USPs, story telling, and an application section for creative use examples. 

  • Plan and deliver a social media game plan, utilising Sophie as the face of the brand, and encouraging collaboration with customers and other décor brands. 

  • Produce 4 photoshoots with the client, creating a library for future use and making sure the visual content stays in line with the aspirational, lifestyle brand feel. 

  • Work on social media campaigns, brochure creation, sales emails, print advertising, and media exposure to enhance the brand and help boost sales for the client.
